The tuck shop at the weekend. Yummy.
When I was growing up my favourite was a Flash bar. It cost 2d. Nearest thing to it these days is a Dime Bar.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, we could be here for ages discussing favourite sweets GM, but does anyone remember Black Jacks? Penny Sweets, licorice flavoured I think. Or golf ball chewing gum?
ReplyDelete(I feel a nostalgia post coming up...)
Desperate Dan bars and packets of Refreshers (not those pansy bars though, bleugh).
ReplyDeleteNothing I love more than a Stinger Bar. Eating six of them is like being hammered.
ReplyDeleteOhhh stinger bars, gloriously toxic in pink and green! the lovely yellow wedges of lemon saccharine Refreshers! Puffs crisps! Calypso drinks! and yes, yes, Golf Balls!
ReplyDelete(all the best sweets are made by Leaf in Kilcock. I used to boast to my friends that my auntie lived in the biggest sweetie-town in Ireland!)
I miss the Postman Pat sweets myself. Very tempted to go in search of a Macaroon bar after that pic..
ReplyDeleteOh man, Wham bars, Stinger bars, Kola bars...
ReplyDeleteThose were the good times in secondary school when the cafeteria used to stock them, and I was working in it :)
I LOVE black jacks and how they make your mouth go all black.
ReplyDeleteYum desperate Dan bars. Now please.
ReplyDeleteI had one of those Wham bars.
ReplyDeleteIt was gick.
I was very disappointed & threw it away :(
Desperate Dan bars though - yum yum!
I still have one left. :)
