They're going to make a fortune

The funfair is coming to Blanchardstown.

I went for a wander around the site today where they're still setting up. For the next 10 days there'll be screams, loud music, noise, flashing lights and traffic a plenty almost outside our front door.

Have to say, fair play to this guy. I don't know if I could take the height.

Looks like it's going to be fun. Whenever it opens.

See you there, maybe?

  1. Each ride or whatever you call it lasts about 2 minutes.

Think I will keep my feet on the ground.

  2. If you see me there i'll be the one puking in the corner, just from looking at the heights.

However, them Scoobydoo teddies look very cute, and even though i'm not into teddies I'm wondering can you get me one of them please?

  4. I went last year - when we actually had good weather!

If it was all the same rides as last year, I probably wouldn't have gone, but it does look like they have a lot more stuff there this year.

It's just a pity it's all a complete rip-off... You'd be cheaper taking a day trip to EuroDisney - and the queues would be smaller!

  5. "People beware you're in for a scare"

    That's Irish prices for you.

    So are we going?

  7. funny thing is i can work at heights like that ironworker/welder with no problem if i'm tied off safely (i'm an old construction worker), but i cant do rides like that ferris wheel or roller coasters! go figure.

btw, how come i can never get my little avatar thingy to show up in your blogs? is it because i'm on wordpress and not blogger?

  8. Thanks for all the comments everyone!

@Grannymar - indeed, only two minutes and a complete rip-off. One ride I saw was €20. Three good books at least!

@Stella - I'll see what I can do. I'm no good at those sort of things but for you, I'll give it a go.

Truth be told, I'd probably have a similar reaction to the heights! Though that's only an age thing - when I was young it would have been the motion. :-/

@Maxi - ah now, it's only a scare house. They have to let small kids in there too!

@thechrisd - Hiya and thanks for the comment. Last year I was in Spain when it arrived. I have to say though, I'm impressed by the variety of some of them - your comparison to Disneyland isn't far off! Rides and prices!

@Lottie - you and your promises!

@Raptureponies - tis indeed. I'll try get a snap of the full wheel tomorrow, just to whet your appetite. Cheers for the visit! :-)

@Donna - thanks for the comment as well. That is weird about the heights vs something like a ferris wheel - I'd almost be the opposite.

I reckon your avatar is to do with being on Wordpress, but if you head over to www.gravatar.com and sign up, it will travel with your email address, I think. Let me know if I can help :-)
